I'm David Reynolds and this is my blog. I'm mostly a Python web application developer. This blog is actually running on my own web framework and a custom datastore that sits on top of MySQL.

I recently open sourced my web framework (Blueberry Web Framework) and my custom datastore (SimpleStore).

The inspiration for creating blueberry is a mix of web.py and the web framework for Google AppEngine. Inspiration for simplestore was mostly driven by Bret Taylor's blog post on how FriendFeed uses MySQL. Some of the pieces of simplestore were also inspired by Google AppEngine.
